Wow, the last journal was over a year ago? I need to get back into this stuff lol.

Well, here's a recap of fun stuff:

1. I GOT INTO SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS in New York City as an Illustration Major, to start in January 2010

2. Some good movies I've seen over the year, namely "The Hangover," "REPO! The Genetic Opera," "Boondock Saints" 1 and 2, "Inglourious Basterds," "G.I. Joe," "Coraline," "Watchmen," and "UP."

3. I've become very intrigued at the works by Edouard Manet, Henri Toulousse-Letrec, and a smattering of other Impressionist and Surrealist artists. I've also wholeheartedly continued to enjoy the work Tetsuya Nomura and Yoji Shinkawa have been churning out.

4. Current unfinished projects I'm working on or have a want to start:
-Series based on icons of horror (Dracula [Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee], Frankenstein's Monster [Boris Karloff, maybe Robert DeNiro], The Wolfman, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Fly, The Mummy [Boris Karloff], The Invisible Man, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Kreuger, Michael Meyers, Pinhead, Leatherface, Chucky, the Aliens, Predator, The Giant Claw [possibly WORST horror icon EVER...], the Devil's Rejects [The main characters seen in Rob Zombie's 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects movies], Ghostface, main characters from Rocky and REPO!, Godzilla and his monster friends, King Kong, Norman Bates, Hannibal Lecter, and, last but not least, Ash Williams)
-Artwork of the characters in my D&D campaign (the campaign is sadly on hiatus for now)
-Alt. artworks for Magic: the Gathering cards
-Tekken characters series
-The 493-part Pokemon series I eventually want to do
-Artwork based on HORDES/Warmachine
